On the beach road


Old cedar siding can be hard to work with.  The fibrous material can make it hard for paint to adhere.   We wanted to make sure this job lasted a long time.  First, we primed all the siding with Sherwin Williams penetrating oil based wood primer.  This first coat is critical to a long lasting paint job.  The paint was worked into the surface with a brush.  After the wood was primed we covered nail holes and filled cracks.  Finally two coats of premium paint were used to create a good looking long lasting finish.
